Utilization:
Students receive hands-on training in the fundamentals of hydraulics/pneumatics, electro-hydraulics/electro-pneumatics, and PLCs through a variety of experiments utilizing hydraulic and pneumatic trainer kits, as well as electro-hydraulic and electro-pneumatic systems. Additionally, students engage in hands-on robot programming using colaborative robot for multiple applications, including pick-and-place operations and vision-based tasks such as color sorting and pattern identification.

Sensors and instrumentation Laboratory

Description:
This laboratory provides comprehensive facilities for the study of sensors and instrumentation, supported by a range of trainer kits including LVDT, laser systems, machine vision systems, strain gauges, thermistors, thermocouples, and more. Through these resources, students gain hands-on experience in analyzing the characteristics of various sensors and understanding their real-world applications in industrial and engineering contexts. This practical exposure helps bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-life scenarios, enabling students to design, implement, and troubleshoot sensor-based systems effectively..

Center of Excellence in Robotics and Automation

Description:
The Robotics Laboratory, established in collaboration with Tata Automation Ltd., Pune, is dedicated to the study and application of robotics. In addition to an industrial robot, the lab is equipped with advanced software tools such as RoboDK and Roboanalyzer, enabling students to design, simulate, and develop a wide range of robotic applications. This setup provides a comprehensive learning environment for hands-on experience with robotic systems and their integration into real-world industrial processes.

RoboDK Software enables the access to multiple tools like robot libraries, 3D model import, CAD/CAM integration, robot path generation, and program export to various robot controllers.

The students can perform multiple simulations using RoboDK like Machine tending applications, Pick and Place, Sorting, Welding and Deburring. The students can also design the workcells for multiple industrial applications

PLC SCADA Laboratory

Description:
The PLC Trainer Kit is equipped with the latest programmable logic controller (PLC) systems integrated with multiple hardware inputs and outputs. It includes a range of trainer kits that allow students to design and implement control solutions, enabling them to visualize the results of their programming in real time. Additionally, the facility supports the development of SCADA systems for simulation-based projects, giving students hands-on experience in both hardware and software integration.
