About Training & Placement Cell
Students' Progression and Industry Relations Cell (SP & IR) works on creating employment and progression opportunities for students. To enhance the employability of our students, SP &IR Cell provides various essential training programmes like soft skills, aptitude skills, and basic technical skills through internal and external experts. Apart from providing job opportunities,internships, the SP & IR Cell works closely with the Entrepreneur Development Cell, Foreign University Relations Cell, and Alumni Association Cell, ensuing a conducive environment for student progression. Higher education abroad is a platform for students to acquire relevant guidance on higher education abroad. Besides this, the SP&IR Cell provides a sound ecosystem for budding entrepreneurs. RSCOE has signed MoUs with TCS, Bentley Systems, Zensar Technologies, TAL and more than 20 other corporations. SP&IR Cell harnesses their support for delivering training on Japanese, German and French languages, designing industry centric curriculum , training students on Software Development , software testing, Automation & Robotics.

SP&IR Cell - Facilities
- 1. Independent Infrastructure facilities of Student Progression & Industry Relation Cell which consists of Recruiter Discussion Room, Interview Cabins, Conference Room, video conferencing facility and it is fully connected with Wi-Fi.
- 2. Dedicated Team members such as Dean SPIR, TPO, Asst. TPO, Core Team Members and respective departmental faculty and student placement coordinator to support students in their career development and job placement.

3. Placement platform: SPIR Cell provides Calyx Pod as Career Automation Platform wherein the students apply for various internships and placement opportunities. The students used to register themselves on the platform and update their details
such as their academic credentials (semester wise marks), skills and resume. The registered students get the notification regarding the various companies coming to campus for the internship
and regular position hiring process floated by SP and IR office. The students can see the complete details of the company such as about the company / company website link, job role, eligibility criteria, stipend/salary offered etc. It facilitates the students to see the complete details of the job role and can apply accordingly. This facility helps to smoothen the data recording and fetching for the hiring process. - 4. Comprehensive Training Programs – Provides training on aptitude, soft skills, and technical skills, along with placement preparation, career guidance, and counselling for competitive exams (GATE, CAT, GRE, TOEFL, IELTS).
- 5. Placement & Internship Support – Conducts mock interviews, company-specific tests, group discussions, and technical interview sessions to enhance employability. Also facilitates internships for students by inviting various organizations for internship hiring drive.
- 6. Language & Skill Development – Offers Japanese, French, and German language training programs on campus, along with communication skills and employability skill development training.
- 7. Industry-Oriented Workshops – Organizes company-specific aptitude workshops, soft skills training, and professional mentoring to prepare students for recruitment drives.

Internships
Internships play a vital role in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry practices. At JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering (RSCOE), we believe in providing our students with real-world exposure through structured internship programs that enhance their technical competencies, communication skills, and professional confidence. At RSCOE, internships are an integral part of the 8th semester curriculum, ensuring that every student gains essential industry experience before graduation. To facilitate this, full support is extended by the SPIR (Students Placement, Internship & Research) Cell, which actively connects students with reputed organizations across various domains. Our internship program is designed in collaboration with industry partners, research institutions, and startups to ensure that students gain hands-on experience relevant to their field of study. We also encourage students to pursue internships from their second year onwards, allowing them to explore various domains, identify their interests, and build a strong foundation for future careers. Such internships can be undertaken in the students’ summer or winter breaks.
