Students' Progression and Industry Relations Cell (SP & IR) works on creating employment and progression opportunities for students. To enhance the employability of our students, SP &IR Cell provides various essential training programmes like soft skills, aptitude skills, and basic technical skills through internal and external experts. Apart from providing job opportunities,internships, the SP & IR Cell works closely with the Entrepreneur Development Cell, Foreign University Relations Cell, and Alumni Association Cell, ensuing a conducive environment for student progression. Higher education abroad is a platform for students to acquire relevant guidance on higher education abroad. Besides this, the SP&IR Cell provides a sound ecosystem for budding entrepreneurs. RSCOE has signed MoUs with TCS, Bentley Systems, Zensar Technologies, TAL and more than 20 other corporations. SP&IR Cell harnesses their support for delivering training on Japanese, German and French languages, designing industry centric curriculum , training students on Software Development , software testing, Automation & Robotics.

Internships play a vital role in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry practices. At JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering (RSCOE), we believe in providing our students with real-world exposure through structured internship programs that enhance their technical competencies, communication skills, and professional confidence. At RSCOE, internships are an integral part of the 8th semester curriculum, ensuring that every student gains essential industry experience before graduation. To facilitate this, full support is extended by the SPIR (Students Placement, Internship & Research) Cell, which actively connects students with reputed organizations across various domains. Our internship program is designed in collaboration with industry partners, research institutions, and startups to ensure that students gain hands-on experience relevant to their field of study. We also encourage students to pursue internships from their second year onwards, allowing them to explore various domains, identify their interests, and build a strong foundation for future careers. Such internships can be undertaken in the students’ summer or winter breaks.

Regular sessions are organized where alumni mentors guide current students in career planning, resume building, and interview preparation. These interactions bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations.
We conduct company-specific mock placement drives, which include: 1.Aptitude Tests 2.Group Discussions 3.Personal Interviews
These simulations help students prepare for actual placement processes with top recruiters.
To develop communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, corporate trainers conduct intensive soft skill training programs for final-year students.

Ms. Lekshmi Nair, Head of BFSI, conducted an exclusive TCS Leadership Engagement Program, empowering students with leadership insights and trends in the IT and BFSI sectors.
Interactive sessions with TCS professionals offer students an understanding of industry practices, project workflows, and hiring expectations.
An Expect Session on “Career Opportunities in Heavy Equipment Handling Machines” was held by Dynamic Cranes, highlighting career paths in industrial operations and mechanical domains.
TCS launched HackQuest Season 9 at our campus, promoting competitive programming, ethical hacking, and innovation among students.
A special Industry Institute Interaction was held with Yechte, a UK-based organization, to explore international career opportunities and global work culture.
