The department provides a B.Tech program in "Computer Science and Business Systems" to meet the growing demand for young engineering talent with technological abilities and management skills to inculcate worldwide competence. This course is based on TCS guidelines, and aims to provide students with industry-ready understanding of cutting-edge technology and business skills via hands-on experience, therefore improving their employability. The goals of this course are to help students understand current technology, technical abstraction, and basic business ideas, as well as to develop their Innovation Ability, Ethics, and Life Values. Innovative teaching and learning techniques are adopted to develop learning capacity through motivation, application, and practice.
The students are exposed to learn the recent trends such as Computational Statistics, Software Development Models, Design Thinking, Cognitive Science & Analytics, Machine Learning, Financial Management, Services Science & Service Operational Management, Marketing Research, and Marketing Management. The faculty members trained by TCS to deliver the program. The course maintains high standard of teaching, learning and evaluation processes monitored by TCS. Active mentoring by Experts from TCS is a regular feature. Students are encouraged to participate in extra and co-curricular activities. Technical seminars, workshops and project competitions are conducted regularly for students to make them competent.

“It brings me great honour to welcome you to the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems. Given the high demand for Computer Science professionals from the industry, the College has launched a new four undergraduate industry relevant Computer Science and Business Systems(CSBS) program powered by Tata Consultancy Services to address the growing need of engineering talent with skills in Digital Technology. This curriculum aims to ensure that the students graduating from the program not only know the core topics of Computer Science but also develop an equal appreciation of Humanities, Management Sciences, and Human Values. The students are also exposed to emerging topics such as Analytics, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, the Internet of Things, etc., to make them industry ready at the end of four years of study. The students are also exposed to pursue Higher Studies in Reputed Universities Abroad and India with varied specializations and to become a successful Entrepreneur in the IT domain with Innovative Business Skills acquired through the competent curriculum designed by TCS.

Engineering Graduates will be able to:
1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet t h e specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
